SENATE AMENDMENT TO THE HOUSE AMENDMENT TO THE SENATE AMENDMENT TO AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 4, UNITED STATES CODE, TO PROVIDE FOR THE FLYING OF THE FLAG AT HALF–STAFF IN THE EVENT OF THE DEATH OF A FIRST RESPONDER IN THE LINE OF DUTY

Committee on Rules: Full Committee held a hearing on the Senate amendment to the House amendment to the Senate amendment to H.R. 1892, an Act to amend title 4, United States Code, to provide for the flying of the flag at half-staff in the event of the death of a first responder in the line of duty [Bipartisan Budget Act of 2018]. The Committee granted, by record vote of 9–4, a rule providing for the consideration of the Senate amendment to H.R. 1892. The rule makes in order a motion offered by the chair of the Committee on Appropriations or his designee that the House concur in the Senate amendment to H.R. 1892. The rule waives all points of order against consideration of the motion. The rule provides that the Senate amendment and the motion shall be considered as read. The rule provides one hour of debate on the motion equally divided and controlled by the chair and ranking minority member of the Committee on Appropriations.
