Mississippi (Mr. Cochran) was added as a cosponsor of S. 2620, a bill 
to amend title XVIII of the Social Security Act to provide for an 
extension of the Medicare-dependent hospital (MDH) program and the 
increased payments under the Medicare low-volume hospital program.

the Consumer Product Safety Act to require residential carbon monoxide 
detectors to meet the applicable ANSI/UL standard by treating that 
standard as a consumer product safety rule, to encourage States to 
require the installation of such detectors in homes, and for other 
purposes.

  At the request of Mr. Wyden, the name of the Senator from Rhode 
Island (Mr. Reed) was added as a cosponsor of S. 3407, a bill to amend 
the Public Health Service Act to increase the number of permanent 
faculty in palliative care at accredited allopathic and osteopathic 
medical schools, nursing schools, and other programs, to promote 
education in palliative care and hospice, and to support the 
development of faculty careers in academic palliative medicine.

expressing the sense of the Senate that supporting seniors and 
individuals with disabilities is an important responsibility of the 
United States, and that a comprehensive approach to expanding and 
supporting a strong home care workforce and making long-term services 
and supports affordable and accessible in communities is necessary to 
uphold the right of seniors and individuals with disabilities in the 
United States to a dignified quality of life.


                              S. RES. 595

S. Res. 595, a resolution expressing support for the goals of National 
Adoption Day and National Adoption Month by promoting national

                           AMENDMENT NO. 2874
