  Mr. THOMPSON of Mississippi. Madam Speaker, I rise today to honor a 
remarkable public servant. Attorney RaToya Gilmer was born and raised 
in Edwards, Mississippi, and still currently resides there. She earned 
a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from Tougaloo College. 
Attorney Gilmer graduated from the University of Mississippi School of 
Law in May 2013. She was admitted to practice law in the state of 
Mississippi in September 2013. She is currently the managing partner at 
Gilmer and Green Legal Group, PLLC where the firm focuses on family law 
and personal injury cases. She is currently the President of the 
Magnolia Bar Association where she served as the community service 
committee co-chair and President of the organization.
  She is currently a member of the Mississippi Bar Association, the 
Mississippi Association for Justice, the Metro Jackson Black Women 
Lawyers' Association, the Mississippi Women Lawyers' Association, Women 
for Progress, and a member of the 33rd Class of Leadership Greater 
Jackson.
  Madam Speaker, I ask my colleagues to join me in recognizing Attorney 
RaToya Gilmer.
