  Credit Card Accountability Responsibility and Disclosure Act: 
Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs was discharged from 
further consideration of H.R. 5502, to amend the effective date of the 
gift card provisions of the Credit Card Accountability Responsibility 
and Disclosure Act of 2009, and the bill was then passed, clearing the 
measure for the President.

  Commemorating the life of George M. Steinbrenner: Senate agreed to S. 
Res. 580, commemorating the life and work of George M. Steinbrenner of 
the State of New York.

Conference Reports:
  Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act: Senate began 
consideration of the conference report to accompany H.R. 4173, to 
promote the financial stability of the United States by improving 
accountability and transparency in the financial system, to end ``too 
big to fail'', to protect the American taxpayer by ending bailouts, to 
protect consumers from abusive financial services practices.

  A motion was entered to close further debate on the conference report 
to accompany the bill and, in accordance with the provisions of Rule 
XXII of the Standing Rules of the Senate, a vote on cloture will occur 
on Thursday, July 15, 2010.
