                  ORDERS FOR TUESDAY, DECEMBER 1, 2009

  Mr. DURBIN. Madam President, I ask unanimous consent that when the 
Senate completes its business today, it adjourn until 10 a.m. tomorrow, 
Tuesday, December 1; that following the prayer and the pledge, the 
Journal of proceedings be approved to date, the morning hour be deemed 
to have expired, the time for the two leaders be reserved for their use 
later in the day, and the Senate resume consideration of H.R. 3590, the 
health care reform legislation, for debate only, until 11:30 a.m., with 
the Republicans controlling the first 30 minutes and the majority 
controlling the next 30 minutes, and with the remaining time equally 
divided and controlled between the two leaders or their designees, and 
with Senators permitted to speak therein for up to 10 minutes each; 
further, that at 11:30 a.m. the Senate proceed to executive session to 
consider the nomination of Calendar No. 487, Jacqueline Nguyen, as 
provided for under the previous order; and finally, I ask that the 
Senate recess from 12:30 until 2:15 p.m. to allow for the weekly caucus 
luncheons.
