                     RULES COMMITTEE AUTHORIZATION

  Mr. MENENDEZ. Madam President, I ask unanimous consent that the 
Senate proceed to the immediate consideration of S. Res. 337, submitted 
earlier today.
  The PRESIDING OFFICER. The clerk will report the resolution by title.
  The bill clerk read as follows:

       A resolution (S. Res. 337) authorizing the Committee on 
     Rules and Administration to prepare a revised edition of the 
     Standing Rules of the Senate as a Senate document.

  There being no objection, the Senate proceeded to consider the 
resolution.
  Mr. MENENDEZ. Madam President, I ask unanimous consent that the 
resolution be agreed to, and the motion to reconsider be laid upon the 
table; that any statements relating thereto be printed in the Record.
  The PRESIDING OFFICER. Without objection, it is so ordered.
  The resolution (S. Res. 337) was agreed to, as follows:

       Resolved,

     SECTION 1. PRINTING THE STANDING RULES OF THE SENATE.

       (a) Authorizations.--The Committee on Rules and 
     Administration shall prepare a revised edition of the 
     Standing Rules of the Senate and such standing rules shall be 
     printed as a Senate document.
       (b) Additional Copies.--In addition to the usual number, 
     2,500 additional copies shall be printed for use by the 
     Committee on Rules and Administration.
