                        MESSAGES FROM THE HOUSE

  At 11:21 a.m., a message from the House of Representatives, delivered 
by Ms. Niland, one of its reading clerks, announced that the House has 
passed the following bills, in which it requests the concurrence of the 
Senate:

       H.R. 4894. An act to provide for certain access to national 
     crime information databases by schools and educational 
     agencies for employment purposes, with respect to individuals 
     who work with children.
       H.R. 5117. An act to exempt persons with disabilities from 
     the prohibition against providing section 8 rental assistance 
     to college students.

  The message also announced that the House agreed to the following 
concurrent resolutions, in which it requests the concurrence of the 
Senate:

       H. Con. Res. 372. Concurrent resolution recognizing the 
     50th Anniversary of the Interstate Highway System.
       H. Con. Res. 408. Concurrent resolution commending the 
     Government of Canada for its renewed commitment to the Global 
     War on Terror in Afghanistan.
       H. Con. Res. 421. Concurrent resolution expressing the 
     sense of Congress and support for Greater Opportunities for 
     Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (GO-STEM) 
     programs.
