     Advisory Commission on Public Diplomacy for a term expiring 
     July 1, 1999.
       Paula Dobriansky, of Maryland, to be a Member of the U.S. 
     Advisory Commission of Public Diplomacy for a term expiring 
     July 1, 1998.

       R. Nicholas Burns, of Virginia, a Career Member of the 
     Senior Foreign Service, Class of Counselor, to be Ambassador 
     Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of 
     America to Greece.
       Tom McDonald, of Ohio, to be Ambassador Extraordinary and 
     Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to the 
     Republic of Zimbabwe.
       Mark Robert Parris, of Virginia, a Career Member of the 
     Senior Foreign Service, Class of Minister-Counselor, to be 
     Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United

       William E. Kennard, of California, to be a Member of the 
     Federal Communications Commission for a term of 5 years from 
     July 1, 1996.
