                        MEMORIAL DAY RESOLUTION

                       THURMOND AMENDMENT NO. 360

  Mr. LOTT (for Mr. Thurmond) proposed an amendment to the resolution 
(S. Res. 76) proclaiming a nationwide moment of remembrance, to be 
observed on Memorial Day, May 26, 1997, in order to appropriately honor 
American patriots lost in the pursuit of peace of liberty around the 
world; as follows:

       On page 2, lines 5 and 6, strike ``Standard'' and insert 
     ``Daylight''.
