                  ORDERS FOR THURSDAY, APRIL 17, 1997

  Mr. FRIST. Mr. President, I ask unanimous consent that when the 
Senate completes its business today, it stand in adjournment until the 
hour of 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 17. I further ask unanimous consent 
that on Thursday, immediately following the prayer, the routine 
requests through the morning hour be granted, and that there then be a 
period for the transaction of morning business until the hour of 2 
p.m., with Senators permitted to speak for up to 5 minutes each, with 
the following exceptions: Senator Bennett, 1 hour; Senator Conrad, 10 
minutes; Senator Daschle, or his designee, 1 hour; Senator Coverdell, 
or his designee, in control of the time from 1 to 2 o'clock.
